The Swedish superstar Otto Knows just released one of his fabled Tomorrowland ID’s, “Friends”. Without any teaser, marketing move, or hype, the cheerful single was released December 1st through Warner Music Sweden.
Otto Knows (Otto Jettmann) has been known over the years for his serene productions and ecstatic stage presence. The producer is an industry leader when it comes to progressive house and maintains many strong friendships with legends such as Avicii and Sebastian Ingrosso. The blissful production magic that Otto has portrayed over the years stems from his love of unique melodies and his un-compromised production talent. His tracks transcend more than just music and evoke strong emotions and passion. Consistently, the producer pumps out 3-4 releases a year and proves to fans and the industry that “quality” surely trumps “quantity”. Otto is the architect behind unparalleled house records such as “Next to Me“, “Parachute“, and of course the rapturous “Million Voices” released on Refune Music in 2012.
“Friends” was first premiered in July at Tomorrowland 2017 in Boom, Belgium. Otto Knows’ set was chock-full of ID’s, remixes, and edits that turned heads all around. The indie/deep house single has all the elements to make a radio-friendly house tune. With catchy vocals and an upbeat drop, “Friends” is an overall exceptional production.
Every year, Otto Knows make a splash at Tomorrowland and other dance music hotspots like Ibiza. With at least 2-3 unreleased ID’S in circulation, it is always a pleasant surprise when the producer releases new material. In 2017, fans were treated to a solo release, “With You” that was an upbeat genre blending record. When it comes to collaborating with fellow Swede and childhood friend Avicii, Otto has remixed his hit “Without You”. In 2016 the two producers collaborated on the summer smasher “Back Where I Belong”.
