Steve Angello announces SIZE in the Park 2018
The man, the myth, the legend Steve Angello has just made a post on his website that suggests that the massive SIZE in the Park festival heralded by him will return to action in 2018, in Sweden. The poster foreshadows what could be one of the monumental comeback events of 2018. “För Vårt Sverige”, as the poster reads means “For Our Sweden”. Speculations have surfaced that this event could, in fact, be the collaborative event which Steve Angello has been working on together with mobile phone operator ‘Tele2’ for over a year. Flyers for the event have appeared in Gothenburg and Stockholm.
The special music festival has historically been a showcase of Steve Angello’s brand, label, and artists he shares a common vision with. The marquee event has hosted the likes of Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Third Party, Arno Cost, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman, and many more. The progressive house heavyweights have joined the stage together 4 times in the past. Twice has the event been in Central Park, New York, once in Strathclyde Park, Glasgow, and then the denouement occurred in Kungsträdgården, Stockholm in 2014. To get fans fired up, there is a short film broadcast released in 2014 titled “Size in the Park” directed by Levan Tsikurishvili that follows the iconic event unfold.
Steve Angello has always been a pioneer, with many upcoming artists usually describing their fondness for the Swedish superstar. For fans of the event, only time will tell the line-up, details, and outline. For now, all we know is that it’s on.
