Tiësto is getting married to the love of his life
As a DJ with a heavy touring schedule, it’s hard to fit in a love life. Dutch DJ Tiësto knows this all too well. After dating Dutch model Monique Spronk until 2006 and breaking up with his then-wife-to-be, Stacey Blokzijl in 2008, the Dutch DJ has finally decided to settle down. The 48-year-old recently announced his imminent marriage to girlfriend Annika Backes.
The no.5 DJ in the world made the announcement via Instagram, where he inserted the caption: “I am gonna spend the rest of my life with the love of my life”. His now-fiancé Annika also posted on Instagram, attaching a caption of similar nature; “I am the luckiest girl in the world to get to spend the rest of my life with the best man ever. I love you more than you will ever know!”
In addition to this great news, comes even more great news for the Dutchman. He, alongside Trance duo Above & Beyond, were recently announced as next year’s headliners for Creamfields UK. Furthermore, his latest album Clublife Vol.5 – China has been a great success. So much so, that he even announced a small tour, including his first solo tour to Australia in over 10 years. Things are looking up for Tiësto!
