Avicii premieres Avicii FM #006

Fresh off of a European holiday, Swedish-mega star Avicii is back in business with the latest episode of Avicii FM. Featuring new music from Don Diablo, EDX, Dada LifeDaddy’s Groove and many more, episode 6 of Avicii FM boasted a vast array of musical styles, proving why more than 100,000 people tune in each week.

Episode six takes listeners on a gratifying journey as Avicii smoothly transitions from Don Diablo-inspired to EDM, to the smooth, underground House stylings of Nora En Pure. Kicking things off with a pair of Hexagon Records tracks, Steff Da Campo and SIKS‘s ‘Make Me Feel‘ and Don Diablo’s new release ‘You Can’t Change Me‘ start the show with a bang. Followed by Ummet Ozcan and Lucas & Steve‘s ‘Higher‘, the show eventually progresses towards a deeper, darker sound with PawsaSyn Cole, Daddy’s Groove and Nora En Pure leading the way.

Following the mysterious deep twist, Bergling uses HI-LO and Dada Life’s ‘Love Vibrations‘ as a segway to once again, progress towards the more mainstage music. Next in line is the 100th release on the prestigious Protocol RecordingsNicky RomeroSpyder‘s ‘PRTCL‘. While smooth-sailing tracks such as Dave Winnel‘s ‘WYDTM‘ and EDX’s ‘Jaded‘ take over the airwaves, Avicii mixes things up with his classic throwback, ‘City Lights’ with Noonie Bao. At about 33 minutes into the episode, Avicii mentions new collaborations and hints at a new EP which is on the way.

Talking about the new EP Avicii elaborates:

“Now I’m back in LA, and kind of getting started on the production side of the EP. I’ll keep you guys updated here as I get further in the EP creation process. So far I’m just trying to nail which songs are going to be on the EP, because I do have a lot of of songs that I haven’t started producing yet. I’m going to pick the songs first and then in March I’m doing a whole bunch of new studio sessions which I’m really looking forward to. I’m gonna sit with a bunch of old production teams that I have done a lot of songs with before.”
