Avicii rings in new year with impressive Beats 1 Radio Welcome 2018 mix

To celebrate the start of 2018, Beats 1 have called up 24 of the worlds biggest artists to put together 24 hours worth of top class music broadcasted exclusively on Apple Music. With the likes of Martin Garrix, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, and MK taking to the decks, it made for the perfect way to ring in the new year. One of the stand out sets was Avicii, who made his comeback in emphatic fashion last year with the 2017 release of AVĪCI (01). The EP bore all the signatures of the classic Avicii sound that caught the attention of fans all around the world, and has gone on to be a massive mainstream success internationally.

The Swedish superstar is no stranger to Beats 1, having previously taken over the radio station in September to deliver one hour of magical melodic music. And now he is back with another performance that will provide the perfect soundtrack to your night’s festivities. With floor shaking hits by the likes of EDX , Don Diablo, Zonderling, Axwell Λ Ingrosso and of course Avicii himself, he showcases the tracks that made his comeback so special. And although we may never see a live performance from the Swede at a club or festival again, this is certainly the next best thing.
