Martin Garrix discusses upcoming X-Games set, STMPD RCRDS in 2018

Home Uncategorized Martin Garrix discusses upcoming X-Games set, STMPD RCRDS in 2018

Starting the year off on the note, STMPD RCRDS founder Martin Garrix is already making waves in 2018. After revealing his new girlfriend, Martin announced an upcoming documentary with Techno legend Carl Cox. In addition to this, the Dutchman is set to join fellow electronic acts Marshmello & LCD Soundsystem as the musical entertainment at this year’s X-Games in Aspen.

Having never performed at the famed sporting event, the performance will be a new experience for him. However, that’s not all that’s new in the Garrix camp. In a recent interview with Billboard Dance, Garrix explained that fans will soon hear new music from fellow Dutchmen CMC$ and Todd Helder via his STMPD RCRDS imprint. He’s also given fans a chance to speculate, after announcing a collaboration with an unnamed artist.

When asked about the collaboration, Martin explained the following:

“I try to stay away from thinking in boxes when working on new music. I think when creativity has no limits or boundaries you come to the point where new sounds arise, I have a release coming up with a great producer who is also a good friend of mine. We have worked together before, so I can’t wait for everyone to hear this new track we came up with.”

With so much already going for Martin in 2018, he could very well eclipse his 2017 campaign! More information on Martin’s X-Games show can be found here.
