We Rave You Weekly Selections (January 22nd, 2018)

We Rave You‘s Weekly Selections returns for the third episode of the new year. Boasting some of the best music January has had to offer, this week’s playlist turns the heat up a notch with brand-new music from TeamworxDon DiabloThe ChainsmokersMichael Calfan and more!

This week, Israeli super-duo Teamworx kick things off with their hard-hitting remix of Nicky Romero and Florian Picasso‘s ‘Only For Your Love‘. Giving the original version a facelift, Teamworx delivers a brand-new Electro House perspective, as opposed to the Bass House-influenced original. Don Diablo follows up with his new Future Bass anthem ‘People Say‘. Boasting his signature lead synths, the track embodies the same energy found in every Don Diablo track, despite the change in tempo. Following Don Diablo is The Chainsmokers with their new single, ‘Sick Boy‘. Following a similar template to previous singles, ‘Sick Boy’ possesses the signature Chainsmokers sound, without being an overpowering synth-heavy Future Bass track.

After breaking his hiatus with a sneak preview of an upcoming track on Instagram, Michael Calfan‘s ‘On You‘ has finally arrived. Boasting a prominent Deep House influence, the track’s sound takes a different approach, in comparison to Calfan’s summer-soaked piano-heavy anthems such as ‘Treasured Soul‘ and ‘Nobody Does It Better‘. Next up is ZHU, who delivers a delightful, alternative/underground remix of CamelPhat and Elderbrook‘s ‘Cola‘. Driven by a heavy, low bassline, subtle horns and discrete synths, the minimalist elements combine to create simple, yet full-sounding track.
