Having upheld its reputation as one of the world’s most prolific electronic music labels during 2017, releasing a rich tapestry of unique productions, Spinnin’ Records is certainly gearing up to exceed expectations once again in 2018. The esteemed label has returned to deliver another stellar weekly episode of its Spinnin’ Sessions podcast, this week featuring a huge guest mix from Dutch star, TROBI.
The first half of the episode spans an array of styles, showcasing a number of current and future hits from a wide variety of talent. The quality of the featured tracks is exceedingly high throughout, creating an atmospheric yet energy-fueled listening experience. One of the highlights is undoubtedly Tujamo & Sidney Samson‘s ‘Riverside (Reloaded)‘, which provides a fresh take on Sidney Samson’s original 2009 classic. Another highlight is upcoming release ‘In No Dip‘ by Dannic and Silvio Ecomo, which sees the pair join forces to unleash a tribal-infused anthem which will no doubt be a crowd favourite over the coming months.
As the episode moves into TROBI’s guest mix, listeners are treated to a euphoric compilation of some of the electronic scene’s most impeccable releases. Kicking off with his own track, ‘Girls Don’t Fight‘, TROBI quickly unleashes a high level of energy, moving from hit to hit. With highlights including Curbi‘s ‘Blow Up‘, as well as Valentino Khan‘s ‘Pump‘ and TV Noise‘s ‘Cell Phone‘, the mix is a showcase of some of electronic music’s most ferocious hits.
TROBI is due to release his first ever EP, ‘Be Free‘, which is set to be released tomorrow on Spinnin’ Records. We caught up with the Dutch star to discuss his future plans.
What have you been up to lately?
I’ve been really busy with the release of my new EP ‘’Be Free’’ (out tomorrow January 12). I recently released a track with Ronnie Flex (#1 Rapper in my home country Holland) which went gold within 1 week! And I’m busy DJ’ing at different clubs, I just came back from Cyprus & Curacao. Besides that I am also working on a track with one of the legends out of the reggeaton industry and I’ve already finished my second EP, which is coming later this year! Lots going on, which is great!
What did you have in mind for this Guest Mix?
Expect some new Trobi music from my first upcoming EP and some exclusive shit from some other guys out of the industry. This mix is a little bit more club but I think you guys will like that. I hope you guys like it, enjoy!
