Certainly one of the greatest dance productions ever made, and in some quarters, arguably the greatest of them all, comes from Dutch legend Tiësto. Though the Musical Freedom head honcho had already created a highly respected reputation for himself as the King of Trance in his early career, it wasn’t until this release in January 2005, that his legacy was secured forever.

Immortalising himself to the hearts of dance music fans across the globe, Tiësto took Samuel Barber‘s original composition, and laced it with his own incredible drop, whilst maintaining the very soul of the piece; the orchestral build-up and haunting choir vocals which give the track such incredible raw emotion. Voted by Mixmag readers as the 2nd best track ever made in the history of music, the track is still one that Tiësto still plays out in every one of his live sets to this day, such is the incredible fan demand to experience it live.

Widely regarded as the godfather of modern dance music through his incredible back-catalogue of previous releases and stunning live sets, Tiësto’s ClubLife journey truly kickstarted itself upon the release of this classic. And with the track now officially celebrating teenage years, relive this incredible production, with a video taken from the Dutchman’s home concert, Sensation, in Amsterdam. The video displays a live choir performing the piece at the festival in 2015, shocking the crowd as they appeared suddenly in one of the stadium’s upper stands. A truly magical moment that will leave you with goosebumps.
