Unsigned Only’s Competition offers a great opportunity for young artists

As talent search becomes an ever important aspect of today’s music industry, more and more young artists are provided with means to attain the perfect avenue to pit themselves against each other and provide themselves with the first steps of a successful career. One such leading forum scouting talented young musicians is Nashville based Unsigned Only, the setup behind the eponymous music competition. The goal of Unsigned Only’s global music competition is simple – for artists and musicians who are not signed to labels and agencies but want to make their mark on today’s industry, it provides the prime platform to help them launch their music to a truly international audience.

Open to any and all, the competition intakes tracks, either single or multiple separate submissions, under a myriad of genres as mentioned on the website here and then the tracks are run through various levels of selection before unearthing the true ‘gems’. What follows for those selected is a grand prize of $20,000 and a golden opportunity to work with the top notch professionals from Record label companies and, if lucky, advice from famous artists from the music industry. What’s more is that the competition caters to originals and song cover renditions alike, with the Screen Shot category focusing on relaying high quality original tracks so that they may be picked up for usage in film, TV, advertising, and video games. With the last date of submission fast approaching – deadline is January 24, 2018 – young artists world over will be looking to take a shot and test their talents against each other, judged by some of the finest collection of artists, commentators, music journalists, writers, executives and PR heads among others.
