Armin van Buuren releases new single ‘Sex, Love & Water’ ft. Conrad Sewell

In another week full of ASOT 850 celebrations, Armin van Buuren teased a short clip and the artwork of his brand new single, which included a neon sign with the words sex, love and water – the title of the track. The teaser, which he previewed on social media this week, had a very funky & disco vibe to it, leading to a string of reactions from his fanbase. Real trance fans are probably in for a shock, as ‘Sex, Love & Water’ ft. Conrad Sewell is an even more downtempo track than the trancemaster’s previous hit “Sunny Days” ft. Josh Cumbee. Last night, Armin van Buuren premiered his new single and the video for “Sex, Love & Water” in part 2 of his A State Of Trance #850 radio show.

For “Sex, Love & Water” Armin van Buuren teamed up with Australian multitalent Conrad Sewell. The 29-year old singer-songwriter featured before on Kygo‘s smash hit “Firestone” and collaborated with none other than Avicii for a Coca Cola campaign in 2016 (“Taste The Feeling”).”Sex, Love & Water” is in the same range as these tracks, when it comes to the low number of beats per minute. Armin explains how his special collab with Conrad Sewell came about:

“Last June I was in the studio in Los Angeles with Scott Storch, you may know him from his tracks with Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, 50 Cent, and also with Angel Taylor, Fiora and… Conrad Sewell. We were planning on a different route, but that’s what happens when you create music… all of a sudden the funk came out! The result is my brand new single, maybe a little different than what you are used to from me… As with “Sunny Days” though, some uplifting and club mixes for “Sex, Love & Water” will be on the way very soon.” 

Next week, when the final part of ASOT #850 airs, fans will take over Armin van Buuren’s studio for a very special edition of the show. The week after, on February 17, The ASOT #850 Festival takes place at De Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, the Netherlands, which will conclude the celebrations of Armin van Buuren’s milestone 850 episodes of A State Of Trance.
