DJ Snake – Magenta Riddim

French superstar DJ Snake has finally released his first song in 2018, ‘Magenta Riddim‘. His last single ‘A Different Way‘ with Lauv was released in September last year and peaked at #11 on Billboard’s #11 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, making his next track a tad overdue. Regardless, fans are overjoyed to hear new DJ Snake music.

Channeling infectious Arabian vibes, ‘Magenta Riddim’ is an instant hit. A clap and tom are accompanied by similar vocals to that of ‘A Different Way’ before a resounding 808 and reverberant Arabian flute burst through the seams. Following the first drop, claps and police sirens blare through the speakers before the first breakdown arrives.  Percussion elements and the low-passed main flute, combined with the lead vocals convey authentic Arabian vibes, before the drop arrives, blowing listeners away. Aptly titled, the track overflows with “riddim” in all facets.

February is proving to be an eventful month for DJ Snake. In addition to his latest release, the 31-year-old announced a collaboration with prestigious clothing brand, Levi‘s. DJ Snake is set to release a clothing line titled “Pardon My French” exclusively in Paris tomorrow, making it his first collaboration Levi’s.
