Skrillex to make appearance in new Disney movie

Despite rows in recent years between Disney and certain superstar DJs, aka. deadmau5, it seems that Disney is still very keen on working with electronic producers, having cast Skrillex in the upcoming Wreck It Ralph sequel.

Having featured in the first ‘Wreck It’ movie in 2012, Skrillex‘s short cameo was met with widespread acclaim, and the ‘Would You Ever‘ producer was also asked to create the track ‘Bug Hunt’ for the film. His original mix didn’t make the cut, but Noisia‘s remix of the track was featured in the film’s soundtrack.

A few days ago, Disney tweeted that Skrillex will once again play a role in the upcoming Wreck-It Ralph sequel, and though Skrillex’s specific role in the new film has yet to be announced, it is thought that his appearance in this production will feature a little more heavily than his brief few seconds of fame in the original.

You can check out the Skrillex x Wreck It Ralph collab from 2012 below in this video, where Sonny is seen performing at an animated disco, and let us know which other DJs and producers you would like to see in big movies in future in the comments section below!
