Home Calvin Harris hints at house music return

Praising the work of Porter Robinson‘s new project Virtual Self and how ‘Ghost Voices’ reignited his love for dance music, superstar Calvin Harris may have dropped his latest hint which points towards the Scottish music producer making a return to house music. The speculation from fans surfaced following one of Calvin’s latest Instagram stories where he went on to announce he had a couple of things on the way that he was very excited about. The post then went on to read:

“Also I have a new rule for myself: Nothing below 124 BPM I like that tempo a lot maybe more than 128 BPM and anyone who knows any of my music knows that I F****** love 128”

Is Calving Harris set to return to the realm of 128 BPM? Many fans have been voicing their opinions amid mixed reviews of Calvin’s latest work ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1’ which headed towards a more pop orientated direction with collaborations featuring Ariana GrandeLil YachtyKhalid, and Nicky Minaj to name a few. And who could blame them for saying they miss the old Calvin Harris, the music producer has given the electronic music scene some of the very best house productions over the years including ‘Slow Acid’, ‘Feels So Close’, ‘Under Control’, and ‘Drinking From The Bottle’ – the list goes on.

We will be keeping a watchful eye on Calvin’s socials for more news. Until then check out the post from his Instagram story below and let us know in the comments your preferred Calvin Harris style.
