Taking a trip down memory lane, it is eight years to the day since veteran music producer David Guetta teamed up with American singer Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi aka Kid Cudi to produce the now nostalgic track ‘Memories‘. Released back in 2010, the track was a testament to Guetta’s status as one of the many dominating artists on the electronic dance scene that year. But today, ‘Memories’ is still littered among fans’ playlists – ready to kick-start and take a party into the night.

Joining forces with the ‘Day N’ Nite‘ artist, Guetta proved it to be a winning combination as their production carved out a top five hit in several counties including Australia, United Kingdon, and Belgium. Its success is owed to the pleasant vocals of Kid Cudi as he worked effortlessly across Guetta’s signature piano-backed beats. Providing nothing but a glowing character and a cheerful melody, ‘Memories’ certainly takes us back to when electronic dance music was truly taking off. To date ‘Memories’ has racked up 191 million plays on Youtube as well as 130+ million streams on Spotify.

Alongside the track, the duo released a music video just as fun as the production itself. Filmed in Miami both Kid Cudi and David Guetta walk down Biscayne Boulevard as Kid Cudi can be seen being filmed by a crew of nude models. A highlight to watch out for in the video, during a scene in the dressing salon, the hairdresser can be seen blow-drying a man with no hair.

It feels like yesterday but it is hard to believe that it has been a whopping eight years since the release of ‘Memories’. Throughout that time David Guetta has continually been at the top of his game, most recently during his Ultra Music Festival 2018 Miami performance.

Feel the nostalgia and relive the brilliant track ‘Memories’ below.
