deadmau5 allegedly threatens to sue Krewella over latest music video

A controversial figure in the dance music scene over the last few years, deadmau5 has often found himself at the centre of industry drama. Having argued with many fellow musicians over the years, the Canadian superstar producer has once again ruffled feathers, with Krewella claiming that he threatened to sue them.

Allegedly, deadmau5 threatened to sue Krewella for using an image of him in the music video for their new track ‘Bitch of the Year‘. His image was used alongside images of Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein, and in light of their recent allegations, it comes as no surprise that being featured in the video provoked a reaction from deadmau5. Addressing the issue, Krewella tweeted the below image with the quote:

“Someone threatened to sue us for using their image in this video. Here is a new version without them.”

Eagle eyed fans spotted that it was deadmau5 who had been removed from the video, sparking speculation that he was the party who threatened to sue. The feud between deadmau5 and Krewella is no recent issue, after he accused them of performing fake DJ sets in 2015. The feud looks to be by no means over, and only time will tell if the artists will ever reconcile.
