With the Miami Music Week rapidly approaching now, Diplo has unveiled some interesting news. The 39-year old American DJ/producer announced that he will be launching “Diplo’s Revolution”, his own radio station on Sirius XM. The channel, which is set to go live on Thursday March 22nd, will feature tunes from various genres from across the globe, handpicked by the man himself. Dillon Francis and fellow Major Lazer members Jillionaire and Walshy Fire are also scheduled to host shows on the channel.

Diplo’s Revolution, which will be launched on on Sirius XM’s channel 52, will kick off with a live performance of Diplo himself in the middle of the Miami Music Week (March 22nd, 9 pm ET). A number of still unannounced special guests will also make an appearance during the special launch event of the station that evening. The ‘go-live’ will be broadcast from the Faena Theater in Miami Beach.

Listeners who tune in to the station can expect a line-up of experimental and underground dance music, as well as hip-hop. The channel will also feature live electronic festival coverage from various electronic music events, such as Ultra Music Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas. Furthermore, tracks from Diplo’s various musical projects, including Major Lazer, Jack Ãœ and other collaborations will be part of Diplo’s Revolution as well.

After the launch, the Major Lazer frontman will be hosting two recurring shows. He is set to return every Friday for his ‘Records On Records’ show and he will air a new, monthly ‘Diplo’s Wavelength’ edition to the channel on every first Friday of the month. On this brand new monthly show listeners can expect “the cultures and music he [Diplo] discovers while touring the world.” Check out the tweet below in which the launch of the radio station is announced.
