Eliza May – Up In The Club

Home Uncategorized Eliza May – Up In The Club

Fans of trap music will most definitely have heard of Russian-born DJ Eliza May, one of the genre’s most popular rising stars at the moment. The ambitious blonde, who resides in the Los Angeles area now, has been making a name for herself by her unique mixing style and impressive turntablism skills. Her sound is certainly not restricted to trap and future bass alone, but can best be described as an energetic mix between hip-hop, R&B, pop and big room electronic dance music, combined with elements of turntablism and scratching.

Eliza May has already captured an international audience by performing all across the world, from trending clubs in Los Angeles and New York City to hotspots in France, Malta, and her homeland Russia. Originally schooled as a classically trained pianist, she soon gained an interest in scratching and beatjuggling and learned how to do so herself with help of DJ Qbert and DJ I-Dee, two of the best names out there in the scratching field. May has recently dropped her debut single “Up In The Club” on UFO Recordz, an international label which is based in Sweden and South Africa. The track is rapidly climbing the Beatport trap & future bass charts at the moment, peaking at #8 just last week.

May explains her motive to produce music as follows:

“I think music is a way to express my soul. It’s a language that millions of people of different nationalities can understand. Music makes me live and achieve my goals.”

Besides releasing her own original tracks, Eliza May has also featured some pretty amazing remixes in her sets, including J-Kwon‘s “Tipsy”, Liam Payne ft Quavo‘s “Strip That Down”, and Drake‘s “God’s Plan”. Check out “Up In The Club” down below and get ready to hit the dancefloor!
