Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix has been busy scooping up yet more awards, this time emerging victorious at the Buma Awards – the most important prizes in Dutch music. Having claimed top spot in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll in 2016 and 2017, the reigning #1 tasted success for his single ‘Scared To Be Lonely’; a collaboration with BRIT Award winner Dua Lipa, which was named the most played, and best selling, single abroad.

Martin Garrix was also recognised for his singles ‘There For You’ and ‘In The Name of Love’ at the ceremony, as well as ‘So Far Away’, with the Buma Awards best known as a prize for composers of the most played and best selling singles, both nationally and internationally.

Having claimed 10 BUMA Awards in the past 5 years, Martin Garrix shows no signs of slowing down in his relentless and meteoric rise. The youngster, who first burst into the public eye following his 2013 release ‘Animals’ has enjoyed a reign as the newest King of EDM music across the past half-decade, and has played numerous festivals, including the main stages of Tomorrowland, EDC, and Ultra Music Festival in Miami.
