World’s biggest DJ’s respond to Swedish House Mafia reunion
Swedish House Mafia’s emphatic, zealous return to Ultra Music Festival Miami proved to be nothing short of breathtaking. Returning to the prestigious event where it all ended 5 years ago, everyone’s favourite EDM act made Ultra’s 20th birthday one to remember. As unequivocal pioneers of modern-day electronic music, the trio laid out the foundations early on and paved the way for today’s music scene, thus being responsible for a vast majority of EDM’s flourished infrastructure and diverse culture.
Given their gargantuan contribution to the rapid growth and exposure of dance music as a whole, when the trio say jump, the world asks, “how high?”. The 2-time Grammy nominated trio was the first electronic act to headline and sell-out New York’s Madison Sauqre Garden and were also one of the first EDM acts to explore and break open the Indian market, discovering millions of adoring fans awaiting them. In addition to this, they were the 3rd highest-earning EDM act prior to their break-up. Without Swedish House Mafia, artists such as Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Paris Blohm and Alesso may have never evolved into the juggernauts they are today.
In celebration of Swedish House Mafia’s return, take a look at some of the scene’s biggest DJ’s reactions to the colossal comeback.
Safe to say that this will be one of the most special moments in dance music history… #gomobsters
