Is Swedish House Mafia also making an appearance at Ultra Europe this year?

We might have found the sentence of the year 2018 already – “Expect the unexpected“. After announcing Swedish House Mafia under that slogan for their shocking comeback at Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Tomorrowland has also started to fuel the hype. The Belgian top-tier festival posted an interesting picture on the event site of UNITE in Italy, stating that fans can also “expect the unexpected”. Now, it was Ultra’s turn again. Next to their mother-ship in Miami, the second biggest event organized by Ultra Worldwide is definitely Ultra Europe in Split, Croatia. Taking place in the middle of summer, partygoers from around the world will dance to the tunes of the finest DJ’s of the world. The massive line-up includes names like Hardwell, The Chainsmokers and Marshmello. The chances are high we could also see a Swedish House Mafia set at the beginning of July at Ultra Europe.

The Instagram account of Ultra Europe posted a picture with already announced Steve Angello, claiming that fans should as well “expect the unexpected” once the Swede takes the stage this July. Even though the post is already over a month old, it all makes perfect sense now. Is Steve Angello not going to be alone on stage, but instead be accompanied by fellow Swedish House Mafia members Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso? It wouldn’t be a surprise, especially because there are rumors that the Swedish group could have agreed to an exclusive deal with Ultra. With that said, Ultra could be the only major festival where people can enjoy the music and vibes of the 3 legends from Sweden.

If Steve Angello will be alone on stage or together with Axwell and Ingrosso, as well as if the rumors of Swedish House Mafia being exclusive Ultra DJ’s now is yet to be seen. Could also be that it is all part of making the hype around the 3 Swedes even bigger, especially after announcing a digital pop-up store of Swedish House Mafia merchandise lately. Time will tell, but we can be sure that heaven’s got a plan for our favorite Swedish trio.
