Ummet Ozcan – Krypton
Dutch-Turkish Big Room producer Ummet Ozcan returns with some very interesting news about his own record label and a brand new single titled ‘Krypton’. The 35-year old has been around for more than a decade now, releasing a string of highly energetic floor fillers in various genres, the famous ones being ‘The Code’, ‘Showdown’ and his massive collaboration with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike ‘The Hum‘. His latest release ‘Krypton’ marks a new era, which is meant to be his debut release on his own newly launched record label OZ Records, which is marketed and distributed by Spinnin’ Records.
‘Krypton’ is another great example of Ummet Ozcan’s signature sound and has the potential to become a real main stage banger at festivals around the world. The track’s build-up is progressive and has a slightly dark and somewhat tech-y undertone to it, with its chorus and smooth first drop. The break that follows adds some nicely chopped vocal cuts (‘come on baby, come on groove me’), before ‘Krypton’ slowly picks up speed again towards the second massive drop.
Ummet Ozcan himself describes the track’s vibe as follows:
“For Krypton I wanted to embody a more darker vibe than usual. Atmosphere wise there is a slight comparison with my older works like ‘The Code’ or ‘The Box’. It has a similar repetitive drive but then again the drop is quite powerful and edgy. All together I am very happy with it and very proud to premiere ‘Krypton’ on my new label OZ Records.”
Ummet Ozcan is heading to Bootshaus Germany in May for the club’s annual celebrations, if you’re in Cologne, make sure to visit one of Europe’s best clubs for an experience of a lifetime. More details on the event can be found here.
