Swedish DJ/Producer PÊL has given Adrian Lux‘s iconic track ‘Teenage Crime‘ a brand-new perspective with a Future Bass remix. Forming one-third of the Östersund-based trio NOJ, PÊL has ventured off on his own for his latest project, as he brings his group experience over to his new remix.
The track begins with light-hearted low-passed chords and a pluck, which is soon joined by the original track’s iconic vocals. As a kick and clap quickly make their way into the mix, the track wastes no time in transitioning to the drop. Comprising of warm bass and hi-hats with signature frantic Future Bass lead synths, the elements combine to create a nice, routine Future Bass song structure. The second break re-introduces the pads and plucks, with the felicitous inclusion of vocal chops. Following a similar structure, the tranquil break conveys a relaxed atmosphere, before transitioning to the drop once again.
Despite a small following, his [NOJ’s] track ‘Adore Her‘ ft. Filippa Danielsson earned 113,00 plays on SoundCloud, while his remix of Ookay‘s, ‘Theif‘ reached a respectable 5,000 plays. While the Swede currently has a small library, expect it to grow drastically in 2018.
