The star of Dutch House DJ and producer Oliver Heldens continues to rise. From being the support DJ of David Guetta during his tour in 2015 to playing mainstage at Ultra Music Festival 2018 and even having his own Heldeep Records stage at Tomorrowland 2017. It is hard to imagine the EDM world without the 23-year old from Rotterdam. Heldens is responsible for multiple groovy House tracks including ‘Gecko’, ‘Waiting’ and ‘Ibiza 77’. His newest release goes by the name of ‘King Kong’, including a HI-LO touch. Interesting enough, HI-LO is an alias created by Oliver Heldens himself. With this said, Oli is able to create multiple sounds without giving up on the typical and beloved ‘Heldens groove’. A platform where he can unleash all his love for House music is his radio show Heldeep Radio.
Premiered in the summer of 2014, Heldeep Radio has become an established institution for house music enthusiasts around the world. Last Saturday, the 200th episode of Heldeep Radio aired and Oliver Heldens prepared something special for it. Instead of playing the newest tunes out there, he decided to play his 40 personal favourites from the last 100 episodes. These personal favourites, of course, include tracks by HI-LO himself. ‘WTF’, ‘Flamingo’ or ‘Steam Train’, just to name of few. Other than that, Heldens also plays music from artist like Don Diablo, Martin Solveig, and WILL K. Just like in his beloved DJ sets, the Dutch producer also integrates some amazing mash-ups into the show. With Tchami’s melodic tune ‘Adieu’, Heldens found the perfect outro for the 200th episode. It is guaranteed that you are not going to hold your feet still while listening to this powerful 2-hour set.
Currently, on the 13th place of the DJ Mag Top 100, it’s ensured that Oliver Heldens will continue to make people dance to his amazing tunes. Heres to another 200 episodes of Heldeep Radio! Turn up your speakers and listen to the anniversary episode below!
