The wait is finally over, Knife Party have officially broken their two-year silence by delivering a massive remix of Pendulum‘s hit ‘Blood Sugar‘. This re-work is part of Pendulum’s full remix album, which will see people like Moby, Skrillex, and Nosia put their hands on some of their most famous productions and tunes that made them legendary. In true Knife Party’s fashion, the Australian duo mutated the renowned Drum & Bass hit into a true festival anthem.

After teasing it a few days ago, the anticipation amongst their fans skyrocketed, leaving their minds to wonder what to expect out of this new remix. Now that it’s finally unveiled, it was so worth the wait. The track features classic Knife Party piercing synths that raise the energy in a four to the floor drop, after a build that raises the bar with epic cinematic atmospheres and war-style drums. The main melody line of the original is left intact, while the structure of the drop maintains a fairly simple format, making it ideal for chant-like moments during their sets and is set to become a new favorite of many fans.

This is the first track in almost two years, when they linked up with the legendary guitarist Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine for the filthy trap banger ‘Battle Sirens‘. This may hint that the duo composed by Pendulum’s ex-frontmen Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, are hopefully working on a lot of new music for us that will see the light of day in the upcoming future. Will this also mean we might see them again at some of our favorite summer festivals?  The full remix album is due on June 29th, and hopefully, a few more of these remixes will be teased and released ahead of the highly anticipated day. Make sure to save the date!
