Celebrity face-offs are back, and this time we have Steve Aoki & Laidback Luke in the two corners of the ring, ready to collide and deliver ‘It’s Time‘, a fist-pumping festival banger that blends the energy of both producers. For the occasion, the dynamic duo also dropped a music video, which features the two icons face-off in a fight to the last punch.

You may remember that the two previously collaborated on the hard-hitting ‘Turbulence‘ back in 2011, which became an instant classic. Seven years later, this new anthem, released through Steve Aoki’s label ‘Dim Mak Records’, comes just in time before festival season, and we foresee this one becoming a popular one amongst DJs who favour Big Room tracks to pump-up their crowds. No matter how much it gets criticised for always sounding the same, Big Room always finds its way into the sets of some of the biggest DJs in the world. In a recent interview with We Rave You‘s Jake Gable at Miami Music Week, Laidback Luke added:

“There was a lot of pressure for us to follow up ‘Turbulence’, and we have made another real rave monster! It is a total banger, Steve popped up on FaceTime and he sent some ideas across. So we are going super high tempo on this one. But for this one, we didn’t want to make any pop. Just pure club music! A real festival track. I had this idea – We need Bruce Buffer, the UFC guy on it! So we have Bruce on it, and the video is amazing. It is a super UFC themed video, Steve and I are fighting each other real Conor McGregor style!”

The music video also features the legendary Bruce Buffer, the veteran official Octagon announcer for UFC events. The title is, in fact, a reference to Bruce’s catchphrase “IT’S TIME”, used before every official match in which he referees. On the two sides of the ring, Steve Aoki and Laidback Luke put on a show for their fans, engaging in a fight to the last breath. Who will prevail? The rage of the Dim Mak mastermind, or the experience of the veteran guru of dance music?

Both producers will be hitting the stage at Tomorrowland this year, and it’s a no-brainer to expect them to drop ‘It’s Time‘. So in the meantime to help you get ready you can add this track to your favorite party playlist on Spotify.
