After 20 years of magic, Ultra 2018 is over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look back at all of Ultra20’s incredible statistics and most memorable moments. Being the most notable electronic music festival around the globe, UMF released some mind-blowing statistics from Miami. The sold-out weekend attracted over 165,000 festival goers. Ultra Live also broke some of its own records, attracting a total of over 30,000,000 viewers worldwide and being the #1 trending topic on social media platforms throughout the globe with the hashtag “#ULTRA20“. Through its three days stationed in beautiful Bayfront Park, Ultra20’s numbersĀ were some of it’s highest in the history of the festival.

Ultra20

The main attraction of Ultra20: Swedish House Mafia. The reunion of the EDM supergroup, while hinted throughout the buildup to Ultra, was a spectacle to behold. The trio opened their nostalgic set with their classic ‘Miami 2 Ibiza‘ and brought Ultra to its feet, including the millions at home watching via the live stream.

Saturday night was also filled with mind-blowing performances and Marshmello was at the spearhead. Bringing out several unexpected guests including, Yo Gotti, G-Eazy, Lil Uzi Vert and most notably Will Smith who performed his mainstay ‘Miami‘, needless to say, our fluffy friend put on an incredible show. Of course, several residents of Ultra Music Festival over the years including Hardwell, David Guetta, TiĆ«sto, The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki and more all impressed with their high energy sets, making the stage their own. A major tell of age for the festival, Josh Wink, and Rabbit In The Moon, this year marked the artists 20th consecutive time playing UMF spanning from its beachfront days in 1999.

Who can reminisce on Ultra without including the Carl Cox Megastructure? Ā The already incredibleĀ stage received even more work and upgrades, revamping the production and lighting structures featured inside. Featuring performances from the likes of Adam Beyer, Maceo Plex, Jamie Jones, Pan-Pot, Dubfire, and Carl Cox himself. The Megastructure was once again a massive hit both in Miami and at home with the live stream. The Megastructure hit its peak on the final day as Armin Van Burren hosted his historic 850th edition of “A State Of Trance” live with legendary surprise headliner Above & Beyond.

The Ultra Radio stage saw takeoversĀ from Revealed, Jacked, and Brownies & Lemonade while the Worldwide stage saw monstrousĀ performances from Flosstradamus, 4B, NGHTMRE & Slander’s GUD VIBRATIONS takeover,Ā RL Grime, Laidback Luke and so many more. Incredibly, Ultra20 even saw improvements to the safety and security of the festival reporting some of its lowest arrest rates for the 5th consecutive year. Also, medical transportation rates were dramatically reduced as well. Looking forward to Ultra 2019, the bar has been raised to a new standard and Ultra looks more than capable to meet and exceed its own standards for the 29th, 30th, and 31st of March 2019.
