Aron Scott & ADX – This Time Baby

French rising star Aron Scott has teamed up with ADX to bring us the feel-good disco tune of the summer, as they give Jackie Moore’s classic cover of “This Time Baby” a modern update in emphatic fashion. With a growing catalogue of music already to his name, Aron Scott has been improving immensely with each release – with his previous stand out tracks including “Fire Inside”, “Small Worlds” and “Flamingo”, as well as his impressive remix of Revolver’s “Wind Song”. The good news is that this latest collaboration is sure to have everybody on the dance floor moving.

Originally released in 1979, the timeless ‘This Time Baby’ has been sampled and rejuvenated on numerous occasions – in 2005, the vocal was sampled for the dance radio and club hit, “Love on My Mind”, by the Freemasons featuring Amanda Wilson, and was also covered by Gloria Estefan as part of her 1998 track “The 70’s Moment Medley”. And now Aron Scott & ADX has instilled new life into the track, giving it a vibrant groove full of energy and character. They have cleverly manipulated the track’s melody and chords into a funky-fresh rhythm, maintaining the iconic vocal chorus and sliding bass guitars, giving a facade of invigorated youth to a track that is nearly 30 years old.
