Avicii’s ‘Waiting For Love’ turns 3 years old today

Over a month after the Swedish legend Avicii’s passing, his music has seen such a monumental resurgence. With plenty of hits and a back catalog littered with dance classics including ‘Seek Bromance‘, a tune that released before he went by the moniker “Avicii”, ‘Levels‘, ‘Hey Brother‘, ‘The Days/The Nights EP‘, ‘Waiting For Love‘ and so many more, there’s never a way to forget his legacy. More importantly, the producers legacy is music and even in death brings life, maybe not in the truest sense of the word “life”, but a passing in time of a constantly moving art work, a glossing over history and old memories as Avicii’s ‘Waiting For Love’ celebrates a nostalgic 3rd birthday!

In Tim’s wake, not only is it difficult to forget his legacy, but for many it seems impossible to even push beyond passed Tim within the dance scene. Many artist including plenty who have and currently serve at the peak of this industry including Tiësto, 3LAU, Hardwell, Afrojack, Nicky Romero and more consistently regarded the superstar as one of the best past and present melodic arrangers in the world. Of course, with each of his works lied a true euphoric melody and out of the entirety of his catalog, it’s hard to say any other tune is quite as remembered and or recognizable for it’s melody than ‘Waiting For Love‘. Coming off Avicii’s memorable album ‘Stories‘, ‘Waiting For Love’ featured the ever building piano keys leading into the pitch bending melody which caught audiences everywhere in delight.

Counting down until the freedom of the weekend, it’s in good spirits that the tune live on in such high regard. In quite special fashion, with Avicii’s sales and streaming absolutely sky rocketing, it’s only right to celebrate the legacy Avicii has left behind and revisit the tune on it’s third birthday.
