BREAKING: Axwell confirms Swedish House Mafia 2019 show

Following the incredible reunion of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello – more notably known as Swedish House Mafia – at Ultra in March this year, questions were asked about the next steps for the Swedish trio. Was it a ‘One Time Only’ set? Would there be a reunion tour? Stipulation and speculation has not stopped and finally it would appear that those questions can be answered. During last nights Axwell Λ Ingrosso event in New York, the question was asked by Axwell:

Should we cancel the Swedish House Mafia gig planned for next year? Because I’m not sure they are ready for Swedish House Mafia in New York.

Although there is yet to be an official confirmation from the relevant tour managers and team at the SHM camp, Axwell all but confirmed that a Swedish House Mafia tour is coming in 2019 and that New York will be one of those stops.

The trio have yet to announce anything regarding their future as a collective, and continue to perform separately, with Steve Angello playing a monumental set at Creamfields Steel Yard yesterday in London, whilst Axwell and Seb played two USA shows, one of which involved this news being dropped. The anticipation for such a tour has never been so high, and as fans await news that anticipation will continue to spiral. The intelligent marketing strategies behind the Swedish House Mafia reunion meant that the announcement – though there were teasers – was still very much a secret, so don’t expect much of a warning for a world tour from the Swede’s. All that is known as of yet is that a New York show is in the running for Swedish House Mafia’s upcoming tour, and its going to be huge!
