deadmau5 teases REZZ collaboration demo

You may remember that last month REZZ revealed that a collaboration between herself and Canadian superstar deadmau5will happen“. The news was a huge bonus for REZZ fans who had speculated on such a collaboration for a while over various social media sites, and the news of what the future was set to hold sent some into frenzy. Now, one month later, deadmau5 has confirmed his devout interest into working with REZZ by displaying a demo version of a track he’s worked.

After streaming live on Twitch, the mau5trap boss revealed the product of what he had been cooking up in the studio. Brewing a dark 85 BPM dubstep-driven track and displaying it to the world via Instagram well and truly confirms that the REZZ collaboration is on. After numerous releases on mau5trap, it was only a matter of time before the heavy hitting producer collaborated with one of electronic music’s greats. Though the track was only very new, it still takes shape in a way that gives you plenty of insight as to the finish product, and what I could sound like in the future. REZZ is yet to have her input on the track, and initially stated how she was to wait rather than “send him something mediocre“, but now that deadmau5 has made the first move, you can be certain that nothing mediocre will be sent across.

With a release date sure to be months away – as the demo was only started on the stream – and purely the video below as an indication of what might come from the pairing, its safe to say that you shouldn’t get excited just yet, as there will be plenty more work to follow before a track surfaces. However, with such a dynamic and skilled duo working on the track, you can be sure that whenever the end product arrives, it’ll be something worth listening to.
