Disclosure & Fatoumata Diawara – Ultimatum

Esteemed UK duo Disclosure have finally resurfaced with their newest vocal house jam ‘Ultimatum‘. In fact, with an accompanying statement, the duo makes it a point to comment about their silence and rediscovery of new sounds:

The duo consisting of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence have been known to cause a rumble in the electronic world with plenty of recognizable work including ‘Latch‘, ‘Omen‘, featuring Sam Smith, which was included on worldwide selling franchise FIFA 17, and of course, their ‘You & Me‘ remix which ran absolutely rampant when released. Even to this date, the infamous remix still remains one of the top-played electronic tracks on SoundCloud with a whopping 62 Million plays.

With ‘Ultimatum’ the brothers entice the listener with a simplistic and rather minimal groove. The experimentation with the Malian singer’s vocal brings about a joyous air just in time for summer. The release timing could not be more perfect, as it also falls right on time for the release of Fatoumata Diawara’s second full-length studio project and 11-track album ‘Fenfo‘. Apart from their newest release, the duo have taken the majority of the year off aside from their Ibiza residency at DC-10. With this release, the duo brings the hope of a soon to be released follow up album, following their last full-length project, ‘Caracal‘.
