French talent Djorda Luigia is bringing his deep, dark House vibes in his latest hit-single, ‘Fonky French‘. Released via Jango Music, Djorda joins a star-studded list of others who’ve had releases via Jango, including the likes of Robbie Rivera, Roger Sanchez and Luca Debonaire.
‘Fonky French’ hits listeners from the get-go. The fathomless sub bass and thumping kick drum instantaneously capture the listener’s attention, while a periodic wobble-bass helps fill out the track. In addition to this, a vast array of percussion elements including hats, claps, bongos, cowbells and snares all combine to give the record a full, whole-sounding mix.
The first break provides relief for the folks that will find themselves cutting a rug on the dancefloor. While an orchestral string lingers in the background, providing a tension/rising feeling, an organ melody plays on repeat, as a male vocal sample loops over hats and claps. Following the subtle omission of the hats and claps, the build-up eventually arrives, only to lead up to a surprising 15-second break before the drop comes around once again.
Having firmly established himself in the European House scene, Luigia has earned support from Carl Cox, Uner, Dubfire and Luciano & Philipp Straub, and has performed at prestigious establishments such as Privilège Vista Club (Ibiza), Sankeys (Ibiza), Cap’tain & Zoo Club (Belgium), Chic & Deluxe (Spain), L’Aura Mayfair (London), High Club (France) Stefano Forever (Saint-Tropez) and MICS (Monaco).
