Marshmello teases upcoming single ‘You Can Cry’ with Juicy J

Marshmello just announced on his socials that his mellogang can expect a new single this Friday, May 4th, when ‘You Can Cry‘ will drop, featuring the rapper Juicy J. Quite an unusual pairing it may seem, but the producer has been expanding his horizons with recent collaborations with Logic, Lil Peep, Migos, and his hit ‘Silence‘ with Khalid which has surpassed the half a billion streams on Spotify. This new track will highlight the softer side of the artist, as the vocals of James Arthur will make you teary eyed, but no worries, Juicy J will bring you back with some smooth rapping.

From what we can hear so far from the teaser, this new tune will still stay true to Marshmello’s feel-good vibes, while the lyrics add a touch of melancholy. So for this time, you can forget his signature uplifting future bass, as this song is intended to explore new grounds and musical horizons, but promises to still touch the hearts of the listeners. It will be interesting to see what kind of approach Mello took on the chorus of this track.

Marshmello has also recently announced that a new EP is on the way, getting his fans excited for a summer filled with new music and surprises, so who knows which heavyweight collaborators he has in mind for the project. In the meantime, we’re highly anticipating this new single, which will also give an idea of what kind of music we can expect in the upcoming months. Check out the short preview of ‘Yoy Can Cry’ below!
