MC Fioti, J Balvin & Future – Bum Bum Tam Tam (Tiësto & SWACQ Remix)
Latin reggaeton artist J Balvin is on an absolute roll lately. The Colombian singer gained instant fame last year after his hit ‘Mi Gente’ reached the top of the charts worldwide, and he performed as a surprise guest alongside DJ Snake at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. But as if that wasn’t enough, J Balvin skyrocketed to number 2 this week in Spotify’s Top 10 list of biggest artists, scoring an incredible 45 million monthly listeners.
Just before the year 2017 came to a close, J Balvin’s collab with MC Fioti and Future ‘Bum Bum Tam Tam’ was released. The track is possibly even catchier than ‘Mi Gente’, with many of the world’s biggest DJs and producers lining up to remix MC Fioti’s original version of the track. Jonas Blue, Jax Jones and David Guetta had a go at it already this spring, and yesterday a surprise remix by none other than Tiësto and fellow Dutchman SWACQ suddenly surfaced.
Where Guetta’s remix is an instant big room festival banger, Tiësto took a slightly different and more subtle approach to it, by adding a pretty amazing house bassline to ‘Bum Bum Tam Tam’. With the help of the young and talented SWACQ (short for Sound With A Certain Quality), Tiësto managed to stick closer to the original than Guetta did, while mixing in just the right ingredients. Either way, all versions of ‘Bum Bum Tam Tam’ are guaranteed to stick with you for the rest of the day!
