Yellow Claw Summertime

Yellow Claw ft. San Holo – Summertime

With their highly anticipated third album ‘New Blood‘ coming up on June 22nd, everyone has been waiting for the early release of some of the singles. Anticipation and excitement has been building ever since the announcement of the album, which will follow up from their ‘Blood For Mercy‘ album in 2015, and ‘Los Amsterdam‘ which came in 2017. Now, with the release of album track ‘Summertime‘ coming up, Yellow Claw fans around the world can get a taste of what is to come when the album drops next month.

The new track ‘Summertime’ comes with a few added extra’s on top of your typical Yellow Claw track. Exploring a slightly different direction, the track includes vocals from Nils Rondhuis, 1/2 of the duo alongside Jim Taihuttu, which are layered up with a vocoder sound to maintain an electronic feel to the production. ‘Summertime’ is not your typical festival track that Yellow Claw have become known for providing over recent years, with a smooth, relaxed approach taken on the track. Couple with the influence of fellow Dutchman San Holo, who brings a mesmerising guitar solo that adds to the diversity of the whole track. The track has received an official music video, directed by Frank Telli, with the entirety in black and white, which adds further to the subdued sound that the track holds.

Bringing together sounds through collaborations with artists from Brazil, The Netherlands, Mexico, and more, the ‘New Blood’ album is sure to provide a unique multi-genre album to Yellow Claw’s label Barong Family. Featuring everything from pop and commercial sounds, to chilled tropical and trap vibes, with ballads and rap also thrown into the mix to provide an album like no other this year. The album embraces genre’s and takes them from a new angle to redefine the sound usually associated with the duo and display their true production quality through a select collection of tracks.
