Alok surprised his fans with his most recent video for which the caption was “Back to the origins! Track: Armin van Buuren, Vini Vici, Alok – ID Soon!” The Brazilian DJ, who has been tweaking and buffing his ever evolving sound, has now teased going back to his trance based roots with this new ID.
The main surprise with the ID is the collaborators, both modern day trance legends, Armin van Buuren and Vini Vici. Obviously Alok has been experimenting with the tune live and it sounds like a show stopper. The trio have never worked together in the past, but there’s always a first for everything, especially among this caliber of musical company.
The ID’s working title as of now according to threads, videos, and fan speculation is ‘Sahara‘. Maybe, a working title such as “Amazon” would translate a little better as the tune has a stark jungle like ambiance to it, as opposed to a desert feel. However, ‘Sahara’ is only the working title visible to date and with the ID set to release soon according to Alok, it seems fans will receive a final track name shortly. With a few dates spread between Brazil and the United States over the next month and a half, it seems as though Alok may have enough time in between stops to put out this beast of a tune just in time for his Ushuaïa Ibiza dates. In the meantime check out the teaser Alok posted of the speculated ID below:
