Armada Music, one of the most influential and important electronic dance music labels, just turned 15 years old. Founded in 2003 by David Lewis, Maykel Piron, and trance legend Armin van Buuren, Armada has established itself as a big player ever since. In case you were wondering where the name AR(min)MA(ykel)DA(David) came from – now you know it! In order to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Amanda Music has now released a 4 CD sampler, featuring 100 of the best releases.

Ranging from 2003 to 2018, the Armada sampler is like a journey through the history of dance music. It is simply amazing to see an established label still going strong after all the years and the 100 different tracks only underline that. Tracks from all years and genres can be found on the 15 years Armada sampler, from old-school classics to newer tunes. Examples are Big Room anthem ‘Bigfoot’ by W&W, trance classic ‘Here Tonight’ by Dash Berlin and Lost Frequencies breakthrough hit ‘Are You With Me’. Other artists featured on the sample are Afrojack, Hardwell, and, of course, Armin Van Buuren. The 41-year old stated on the anniversary of the label:

I am so proud to see how far we’ve come. I am overjoyed with the massive success of the label.

David Lewis also took the chance to share his thoughts about it:

Good music keeps the mind alive, and I feel that’s exactly what Armada Music has been delivering over the past 15 years.

One name on the list of artists on the sampler will definitely give you goosebumps: Avicii. After his passing 6 weeks ago, there were many tributes in honor of his great talent, this is another one.

Now it’s time for you to go on a magical journey through the last 15 years of house, trance, big room and many more! Check out the full 100 songs sampler of Armada’s 15th anniversary below!
