It hasn’t even been that long since Armin van Buuren‘s ‘Blah Blah Blah’ took the world by storm, but that didn’t stop the five-time #1 DJ in the world from adding three more highly anticipated cuts to the equation. Now also comprising ‘The Last Dancer’ (with Shapov), ‘Just As You Are’ (as Rising Star) and ‘Popcorn’ (with Alexander Popov), the ‘Blah Blah Blah EP’ has arrived to set the dance music realm on fire.
The title track ‘Blah Blah Blah’ was released a few weeks ago and has become a huge festival anthem already with over 4 million views on YouTube. Van Buuren wrote the chorus for the track while he was traveling to Miami for Ultra Music Festival, and even though the track wasn’t finished at the time, the crowd really dug the catchy nature of the tune.
‘The Last Dancer‘ was made in collaboration with Shapov and released a few months back, reaching #1 in Beatport’s Trance chart shortly after while notching up many live plays from the world’s most popular acts at a host of prestigious festivals.
Throughout his 20-plus year career Armin van Buuren has also released tracks under a few monikers, Rising Star being one of them, but it had been two years since he last dropped a Rising Star record. Euphoric melodies and dreamy vocals are guaranteed when he does, so real trance fans immediately fell in love at first listen with ‘Just As You Are’ ft. Fiora, which is also featured on the EP. Armin van Buuren very successfully collaborated with the Australian singer before back in 2013, when they dropped the summer anthem ‘Waiting For The Night’.
Lastly, the EP contains a new collaboration with Russian DJ/producer Alexander Popov titled ‘Popcorn’, another catchy festival banger with an energy level that reminds us of Armin’s 2014 smash hit ‘Ping Pong’.
