Nowadays, it happens quite often that artists abandon their old alias and identity, to try out something new and to sail off to new musical grounds. The Dutch duo Project North has done just that. The duo consisting of Josh Brust and Jeroen Dekker is, however, is not entirely unknown in the electronic music scene. Under their other alias DAMSTERAM & JRND the two Dutchmen have already released some major releases, including an amazing EP on one of electronic music’s biggest label, Spinnin’ Records. Now, after the first single of Project North ‘Think Twice’, they are now back with a brand new track.
This time, it is a remix for Ash’ and singer Menend’s track ‘Mosaïque’. Just like their first release ‘Think Twice’ Project North again delivers a unique and extraordinary tune. Influenced by Hip-Hop and Latin music, they took the best out of the original track and put their magic on it. The melodic vibes that the vocals of Menend deliver are combined with a simple and minimal yet melodic and danceable house synthesizers. ‘Mosaïque’ is, once again, a prove of how talented the young Dutch are and how bright their future will look like.
Josh Brust and Jeroen Dekker have only started their Project North alias this year, but the two releases already making us want to hear more of them as soon as possible. While no festival gigs or shows at clubs have been announced yet, it is safe to say that Project North will be an amazing act to hear live and something to look forward to in the future. Both ‘Think Twice’ and ‘Mosaïque’ are perfect tracks for both a relaxed evening as well as a night out in the club. Make sure to keep an eye on more news and releases of Project North and check out their amazing second single ‘Mosaïque’ below!
