Two months after the tragic events which took place in Oman, Tim Berling, better known as Avicii has finally found peace as his funeral took place over the weekend in his hometown Stockholm. The ceremony was held privately for family members and close friends, few deciding to post on social media to remember the late producer and DJ. The ceremony was staged in Skogskyrkogarden, which is a cemetery in the Swedish capital and it’s also an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

His passing is still being felt around the electronic dance world as it still comes to terms with the loss of a true icon. With his music touching millions of fans around the world, Avicii also touched the hearts of many of his fellow artists in the music industry. As tributes to the Swedish star continue since his death, including the likes British singer Rita Ora who spoke at a live show saying.

I remember how amazing it was to make ‘Lonely Together’ and it felt like just yesterday we were talking. It’s always hard for me to sing that so thank you for singing along.

Tiësto also paid a special tribute to Tim during his EDC Las Vegas performance. It goes to show just how much of special artist Avicii was within the electronic dance music scene and beyond.

Another artist who always looked up to Avicii is Oliver Heldens who has recently been suggesting on his twitter he might be creating a track in honour of the late Tim Berling.

I feel like writin (sic) a song about Avicii, but I don’t wanna disrespect anyone at the same time, so it’s prob gonna be some prog house, cause that’s Avicii to me: the best melodies. I just dislike when people milk shit out like toothpaste in a small tube , some point it’s finished ?

Avicii was no doubt a true legend who inspired many and touched millions with his music, and will be missed by every member of the dance community.
