Untold Festival, one of the most anticipated electronic music events of the summer, continues to add to its lineup.  Whilst fans will already be anticipating the performances of a wealth of artists, such as Armin van Buuren, Don Diablo, Nina Kraviz and Oliver Heldens to name a few, Untold will be continuing their tradition of broadening their horizons outside of the electronic music scene, with the newly-announced addition of world-renowned group to their lineup: The Black Eyed Peas.

Since their meteoric rise to fame around the turn of the century, The Black Eyed Peas have remained global superstars, which is an impressive feat when the continuously fast-paced transformations of the music industry are considered.  The group have sold 75 million records since their formation in 1992, whilst gradually transforming themselves from a funky rap group to world-famous pop stars within that time.  It is safe to say that they are one of the most beloved bands of all time.  Their chart-topping hit, “I Gotta Feeling“, which was produced by French superstar David Guetta, has gone on to achieve diamond status, meaning that it has reached the coveted milestone of 10 million sales/streams since its release in 2009.  It spent 14 consecutive weeks on top of the Billboard top 100, and is considered to be one of the most successful songs of the 21st century.

Untold Festival takes place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and despite the first edition taking place in 2015, it has quickly become the largest electronic music event in Romania, as well as one of the largest events in Europe, having attracted a massive attendance of 330,000 people in 2017.  Especially considering the massive announcement of The Black Eyed Peas, this year’s edition of Untold looks to reach a similar number, with 65,000 4-day passes having already been sold.
