North America’s biggest future bass duo, The Chainsmokers, have released the music video for their latest single, ‘Somebody‘. Having peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart back in late April, the music video’s inevitable release was merely a waiting game. Now, Chainsmokers fans needn’t wait any longer, after the duo posted the video on Facebook alongside videographer Rory Kramer.

Written by both Drew Taggart and Drew Love, the lyrics tug on the heartstrings as Taggart conveys his struggle with accepting the highlife’s ups and downs through Love’s delicate vocals. Strengthening the density and meaning of the lyrics, the music video is essentially a compilation of Taggart and Pall’s trips and adventures while on tour.

In addition to the release of the touching music video, The Chainsmokers released a remix album, with Riggi & Piros, T-Mass, Naderi, Fluencee, Sippy, and Ruhde each giving ‘Somebody’ a brand new perspective. Not confining the remix album to one genre, trance, house, trap, future/chill and dubstep all combine to create a diverse listening experience for listeners.

Having uploaded the video on Facebook, The Chainsmokers added the following quote:

“You can go through life alone or you can surround yourself with people that become you’re life’ – somebody This is a Rory Kramer vision… for our friends and our fans” (sic)
