Calvin Harris tops Shazam charts along with Jax Jones and Ed Sheeran

Fresh off the back of his genre-testing album ‘Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1’, Calvin Harris recently reverted back towards his wider known sounds. The Scottish superstar producer has gained huge success for his chart topping house and dance tracks, and hitting back with ‘One Kiss’ was the reaction everyone wanted to see. Calvin’s recent return to house has continued his run of success, as the track has been announced as holding the top spot on Shazam’s Charts for the longest amount of time in 2018.

Though, somewhat unsurprisingly, the most Shazamed track of the year comes from Ed Sheeran – his track ‘Perfect’ leads the way ahead of J Balvin, Drake, Dua Lipa and Kendrick Lamar, who round off the top 5- although the British singer-songwriter has not kept top spot for long enough. Calvin’s impressive run of late means that his track alongside Dua Lipa has held the number one position on Shazam’s charts for the most amount of time in 2018.

There are a few other notable mentions for electronic music artists. Marshmello‘s collaboration with Anne-Marie titled ‘Friends’ also ranks on the list of most shazamed tracks of the year. So too does Jax Jones’ phenomenal track ‘Breathe’, which actually scoops the award for Most Shazamed Dance Track up to yet in 2018. Jax Jones continuous chart dominance and constant track quality is what is creating a huge reputation for the producer. Success with previous hits such as ‘I Got U’ with Duke Dumont, and ‘You Don’t Know Me’ has propelled the English producer into the limelight. Both himself and Calvin Harris truly deserve their respective ranking, battling against some of music’s biggest names.

You can listen here to Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa’s track ‘One Kiss’, which Harry Kane recently named as his tune of the World Cup as England’s anthem, and Jax Jones house banger ‘Breathe’ here:
