Eric Prydz unveils new tune ‘Dare U’ off forthcoming Cirez D EP

Iconic Swedish DJ/Producer Eric Prydz is back in the blogs again following his unbelievable HOLO dates, but this time it’s not concerning his future shows. The man behind the genre-crossing alias Cirez D, has come forth letting us know that he will be releasing a fresh new 3 track EP via his Cirez D persona on Monday, June 25th. Not only that, but his upcoming EP has it’s first known track entitled ‘Dare U‘.

While any details surrounding the EP are currently unknown aside from its announcement, the only thing that is known is the lead off EP track will be a tune entitled ‘Dare U‘. The track was recently played out at the headlining Adam Beyer b2b Carl Cox set at Junction 2 Festival.

The track has seen play-out for a while as an ID, dating back to 2015 where it was heard across airwaves for the first time in an Eric Prydz b2b Jeremy Olander BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. ‘Dare U‘ is the definition of a standing classic sound in the trance community. The timeless sound of the track effortlessly adorns club scenes worldwide with its continuously thumping kicks, and enticingly transfixing synth plucks. The combination of this amongst elements of Prydz signature progressive work, plus some techno influences, have made a huge track that will certainly see more support now that the release is set.

However, while ‘Dare U‘ has stood the test of time – especially to be released after almost 4 years with it’s shelf life as an ID – it could be the same case for the remaining two tracks off the EP. While there aren’t necessarily pressing questions regarding the quality of tunes, because we know Prydz also produces quality music by himself or under the Cirez D alias it’s more of a question of if and when we’ve heard these two other tunes set to debut on his EP as ID’s before.

While the speculation on the remaining two tracks circles, take a listen to the first known ID turn release ‘Dare U‘ set to release on Cirez D’s forthcoming EP below.
