A duo who have commanded a high level of respect throughout the years is trance pairing Armin van Buuren and Benno de Goeij, also known as Gaia. A number of enigmatic tracks have been released by the pair, but live performances remain extremely rare. Now the duo have announced that they are due to perform at this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), at the legendary Paradiso.

The first Gaia record dropped in 2009 and plenty more have been unveiled since, each excelling to an even greater level. On stage, the pair are characterised by their hooded attire, hiding their identity throughout live performances. The mysterious atmosphere created during their live performances became a major feature of their branding, so it comes as no surprise that they have consistently been in high-demand over the years. Armin van Buuren had this to say regarding the pairing:

“Throughout the years we created a variety of synths, beats and loops that were more underground and not always useable for my sound and genre and we always had so much fun exploring different genres we felt it was time to combine this under the name GAIA.”

Gaia are due to perform at Paradiso on Wednesday, October 17th during Amsterdam Dance Event. With so much excitement already building ahead of the performance, tickets are expected to sell quickly, so don’t miss out.

Tickets are due to go on sale tomorrow, secure yours here.
