JAYKØ – Keep It Movin’
Denver-based Future & Tech Producer/DJ; JAYKØ is turning heads with his latest Future House single, ‘Keep It Movin‘. Hot off the press, his latest single follows his last release, ‘Mystique‘, a funky Tech House record that unequivocally oozes dark vibes. ‘Keep It Movin’ keeps the dark vibes afloat but adds a different twist. In addition to his two debut releases, JAYKØ’s ‘House Heat‘ mixtapes have been known to gain commendable traction, with each earning between 5k – 15k plays per mixtape.
Following the normal; 30-second intro, a lowly wobble synth and bass build tension, while filtered hats, claps and kicks alternate, before seamlessly transitioning to the hard-hitting drop. Heavy kicks, fat basslines and a wobble synth combine to create an ominous atmosphere, keeping listeners intrigued. Following a quick breakdown & build-up, the drop returns once again, as an added synth helps shake things up.
After the second drop, another break and drop reoccur, before a third and final break arrives. As the filtered drum elements return, a male vocal speaks in the background, while various synths alternate until the 4th and final drop. While the track’s unorthodox song structure may come as a surprise, it is enthraling nonetheless, as its unpredictability keeps listeners guessing.
