Marshmello to launch gaming series on YouTube
Marshmello‘s popularity has astronomically risen in recent years, taking his career to a wholly commercial level, the U.S producer has amassed millions of streams on collaborations with the likes of Anne-Marie, Khalid, and James Arthur; a far cry from the bass heavy sounds his ‘Mellogang’ faithful came to love during his 2015 Jack Ü remix. However, he has spoiled his fans this year releasing a number of tracks already, including his latest album ‘Joytime II‘, which channels Mello’s inner trap-soul once more.
‘Mello also recently released a collaboration with Vic Mensa and one of the most popular rappers in the scene right now; G-Eazy. The latest venture Marshmello has dabbled in is gaming. Not long ago he attended the E3 gaming expo to play a game of Fortnite alongside YouTube superstar gamer Ninja, who Marshemllo has participated in live streams with previously.
Their match took place as part of Epic Games Fornite Pro-Am which saw multiple YouTubers and celebrities pitted against each other with an end goal of a $3 million charity prize pool in addition to the Golden Pickaxe trophy. Fellow industry heavyweight Dillon Francis was also part of the tournament.
Most recently, Marshmello has taken to his YouTube to announce a new gaming series ‘Marshmello Gaming’, where the superstar producer/DJ is set to invite his best friends into his ‘Mello Cave’ to play whatever games they want, with the teaser showing Ninja stopping through. We also see the masked producer getting down on some rock band with Slushii, Jauz and Ghastly. Seemingly no game is off limits, and Marshmello is asking fans to suggest plays in the comments, so be sure to leave your recommendations to see Marshmello and Ninja play your favourite video game.
