Chicago-based DJ/Producer Saladin is back on his imprint Puhnk Junk Records with his latest single, ‘Talking To Myself‘. Since his debut release, Saladin has been tearing apart dance floors from his hometown of Chicago and his latest release is a testament to that.
‘Talking To Myself’ has elements of indie-dance/nu-disco and modern deep house making it perfect for the dancefloor and for radio shows alike. Kicking off with a plucky lead synth and the lead vocal hook, the track boasts a short intro and wastes no time in transitioning to the drop, where listeners are met with a punchy bassline, distorted vocals and bright hats and claps to help fill out the frequency spectrum.
Saladin has gained and earned the support of industry tastemakers such as Don Diablo, EDX, DJ BL3ND, Ummet Ozcan, Knife Party and D.O.D. to name a few. In addition to this, he has climbed his way up Beatport charts multiple times with releases on labels such as Club Love, Peak Hour Music and Play Records. Boasting an impressive back-catalogue of tunes and a massive 40 releases in 2017 alone, Saladin is making his mark on Chicago’s electronic music scene.
