Young Portuguese talent Strybo has delivered an infectious, feel-good FuturePop single titled ‘Leave You‘. Steering away from her traditional Hard Trap/Drum & Bass sound, the self-proclaimed “Lioness of Bass” provides her own vocals in an emotional Pop ballad.
The track opens up with Strybo’s soft, yet full-sounding vocals, backed by bright plucks and a warm bassline to follow. As the pre-chorus arrives, the progressive vocal melody and uplifting chords combine to build sufficient momentum toward the chorus, excluding the need for risers and cymbal crash fx. The chorus consists of a 4/4 kick, trap-inspired hi-hats and a bright Moombahton-esque lead synth and a low-lying sub bass to give the track fullness. The second verse repeats the lyrics from the first verse, but the use of the kick and percussive hits are attenuated, which helps give the track an extra sense of progression.
The Portuguese producer/vocalist has caught the attention of a number of high-profile names in the industry, including Krewella, SAYMYNAME, LA Riots, Teri Miko and Duelle. Having built up a back-catalogue of hard-hitting Trap & Bass anthems, she’s shown off her incredible, versatile production skills in this insatiably addictive, radio-friendly record!
